SAN JOSE, Calif., June 27, 2018 -- NexLogic Technologies, Inc., a leading EMS Provider, today announced it has entered into the automated test equipment (ATE) large board market by acquiring Mycronic’s MY200SX-14 pick and place machine. The new system allows the assembly of large ATE PCBs, giving NexLogic the distinction of standing apart from today’s Silicon Valley assembly houses lacking these capabilities.
The new PCB assembly line pick and place system is designed to handle 22- x 29-inch and larger printed circuit boards (PCBs) required in state-of-the-art ATE systems. Mycronic’s MY200SX-14 features an eight nozzle HYDRA head and handles 24,000 components per hour. NexLogic’s new Mycronic MY200 SX-14 system works in tandem with recently acquired BTU Pyramax 125N, Convention Control Reflow Oven with process temperatures up to 400°C, and 12 zone air and nitrogen compatible, which can handle big board sizes of up to 24” X 18”.
Zulki Khan, President and Founder, NexLogic Technologies, Inc., said, “These two highly advanced PCB assembly line systems put us on a fast track to accept orders from ATE OEMs and do highly efficient placement and reflow of those big boards on a quick turn basis.”
Mr. Khan further stated NexLogic has to date provided PCB design and assembly for large device-under-test or DUT boards for semiconductor customers. Those DUT boards are complex, high component count ranging upwards of 4,000 components, and use special tools and devices. Combined with this extensive DUT board experience and with the new ATE PCB pick and place and reflow capabilities, the company is further extending its experience base to assist new and existing ATE OEM customers.
